For a while, I didn't listen to a lot of music radio, but one of my officemates back in college (Queen's University in Kingston, Canada 1993-1997) played the Fumbling Towards Ecstasy CD constantly. I wasn't an immediate fan, but I really grew to like her. I remember seeing her during Lilith Fair's inaugural year. I could have gone to see her in the Rose Bowl, in Pasadena where I now live, but it wouldn't have been the same. For me, Sarah's music elongs to the hazy hot Canadian summer and sad autumn, to the slow-coming spring and leafless dark winter.
