I would have to say if you haven't heard the cd- The Freedom Sessions, you need to get out and hear it.It is one of the best, if you liked Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, you will love this. It is mostly all those songs minus some remixed to special versions, t ey don't compare to the first copies. They all have their special touches that make them great! I recomend it:) Well there wise all I have to say is that Sarah is a great artist and I hope one day she will come w/ some new and surprising music!!!! I can't wait to hear it if she does. A note on the Lilith Fairs: They were great I went to one every yr. all different acts played on. That is the best concert to go to. We need to see more of them. I can tell you I played it at least 10 times right through before I thought about anything else. It has so many meanings held wit in. For me, it just gives the fantastic feeling that even if it seems the whole world is on your back, suppressing you, it is only a matter of time, patience and will, until you can escape and surface to a place of love and comfort. Anyway, that's just y opinion...

Ok, from the start... As mentioned above, the very first Sarah song I heard was Angel. I got it with a whole heap of mp3's from a friend, and as I've said above, when I heard it everything stopped. All I can remember was simply playing it over and ove until I could recite every lyric, every aspect of it.

Unfortunately, the mp3 didn't have an artist name attached to it, so all I knew was I loved the song, but had no idea who was singing.

About 3 months later, on a plane from Australia to Malaysia, I was feeling fairly lonely and unhappy, but I wasn't sure why. At that moment, listening to a music station on the airline radio system, I heard the words: "... the hauntingly beautiful Angel by Sarah McLachlan." From there, my mood immediately brightened, as this was a perfect description of the song I knew as Angel, and I knew I had found the artist name.

From there I briefly considered downloading all the Sarah McLachlan mp3's I could find, but instead realised that the only way I could feel good about listening to her music was to buy her cd's. Since then I've bought 4 Sarah cd's, and have promised myse f that I'd learn all the lyrics off by heart before getting the next cd. This ended up not being the best idea, as I would learn the lyrics within hours, so instead I promised myself I would only buy a new cd when there wasn't much school work, and I cou d afford the distraction!

The first cd I bought was Surfacing, and liked all the songs immediately. Within hours, I'd listened to the cd a few times and loved all the songs. I had found my favourite singer.

3 more albums later, and there still isn't a Sarah song I don't love. And once again, the same theme came through... I liked them after hearing them once, and loved them all within a couple of hours. It is so hard to find Sarah songs which stand out, as they are all as good as each other, but if I was to single out a few, I'd say my favourite songs are Angel, Full of Grace, Good Enough, Shelter, and Out of the Shadows. You may notice a recurring theme here similar to the one I mentioned about Angel, but I guess that's just the type of song that appeals to me. Anyway, I've got a feeling this posting has developed into a bit of an essay, so I think I should end it soon. Before I go, I'd like to mention that although Sarah has a dominantly female following, there are still quite a few guys who really enjoy her music too (or so I'd expect, I don't actually know of any). Anyway, I'd just like to point out that with so many examples throughout this guestbook where Sarah has helped so many people to appreciate their lives, Sarah is the most powerful and inspirational musician I know. I only wish that she could really see t e positive affect she has on thes people, and gains the satisfaction she deserves for giving so much to so many people.

I love Sarah... She's the most amazingly deep songwriter and she's a brilliant musician.. She's definitely one of my all time faves and I can't wait until she tours again.. I'll be sure to see her this time... :)
