Hey!, Sarah has been an inspiration to me since last year, when I was just sitting around contimplating Canadian artist that I listen to religiously, like Barenaked Ladies and Alanis Morrisette... and I all of a sudden thought that Sarah McLachlan is a singer i want to check out. Not very often is it I find a paticular singer or band I enjoy, but I impulsively went to Wal-Mart, found both Fumbling towards ecstacy and Surfacing, previewed Fumbling, and bought it not sure if i'd really like it or not. BUT I LOVE IT!!! i know have every Cd except Rarities, Mirrorball and the freedom sessions... but i digress, it was one night when i felt very used and didn't know how to handle myself... i went through days of unsertanty and then i payed very close attention to the song "Ice". im not exactly sure that it was her intention to center the song around vulnerability, but thats what i felt and decided to use that song as an anthem. "the ice is thin, come on dive in, underneath my lucid skin the cold is lost forgoten,,," Metephore for how ive been hurt and how non-chalantly i would except new easy love. "you enter into me, a lie upon your lips,,," being loved and left. but in the song ive found hope and i thank her and i will always be an undying fan :)
